Greetings fellow Skalleagues
Mother’s Day- Father’s Day- Summer Vacations…lots of memory makers and shared social media special moments being made. And It’s our SKAL Tampa Bay colleagues and their businesses giving their utmost attention to the details that make these special moments just right. Peter Kreuziger and the team at Bon Appetit hosted a top-notch dinner- right down to the clouds blowing over just in time to enjoy a stunning sunset view. It is truly a treat to come to our dinner meetings- from the exquisite menus and venues to the company we keep. Thank you, Bon Apetit! (wanted to share the great picture of Peter- far right- at the restaurant.)
June starts our Mid-Year Membership. What that means is that new members can just pay the one time initiation fee of $165.00 and $167.00 for Dues and then they will just pay as they attend each dinner at the member rate for the remainder of the year. Now is the time to invite your potential guests to join us for Derby Lane in June (WEDNESDAY, June 13) and for our membership drive event in July at Top Golf (no golf experience required!) Please let Steven know if you are interested in using the shuttle from Pinellas to Top Golf offered by Michele O’Hara and Carey Limos- departure will be in the Seminole area and additional stops may be added as needed. Cost is only $10.00 per person round-trip to give to the driver.

Our Annual Salute to Tourism November event is around the corner. Our goal is to promote SKAL as a leader in the Travel and Tourism Industry through an experience that excites the senses, creating a premier industry event for the Tampa Bay Area. We are looking for your nominations for both member and non (future!) members. Criteria for consideration is as follows:
Non-Member Honoree
- Person who is a recognizable active force in the tourism industry (either local or national)
- Person who has attended SKAL events or worked with SKAL to promote the Tourism Industry
- Person who is a leader of an organization that is active in promoting travel and tourism.
Member Honoree
- Member who has been an active member of SKAL, involved in recruitment or other SKAL programs
- Leader of an organization that is active in promoting travel and tourism.
- Displays the true characteristics of SKAL by promoting friendship, support, and development of future leaders in the travel and tourism industry
