Happy Holidays to All! What a fabulous party we had at the Tradewinds Island Resort! Thank you, George Bentley and your staff for a lovely setting and delicious food. It was a perfect venue for our party, wine pull and auction. Special thanks go to all who donated packages or items and to all who placed the bids and purchased wine pull tickets – We raised over $3,000.00!!!! Wow!!! Let’s do it again next year!
As we approach the New Year, we do so with reservations (Oh my gosh– another year has passed us by) – with excitement (Wow – what is on the horizon in 2014) and with resolve (to make our life, our families, our business and our Skal club even better).
After some brainstorming with our incoming President, Dan Peretz – I thought – so what can we do to make our club better and more vibrant?
Let’s learn from history and from the future – we have such great resources in our membership from those with more than 35 years and from those with less than a year as a member!! We should acknowledge our history, adapt to the current changing environment and anticipate the future – be ready to embrace it in the most positive manner!!!
With the January newsletter, I am initiating a “Lessons from” column – an interview response from a member the President will select each month to provide their knowledge, impart their excitement and their views of being a member of Skal International.
We have all chosen to become members of this fantastic International organization – so let’s all step up our involvement and our ownership of Skal Tampa Bay.
